Belden Adds RUCKUS, Expanding Enterprise and Industrial Networking Portfolio

Belden has completed its acquisition of RUCKUS Networks from Vistance Networks, creating a significantly larger networking company spanning enterprise campus, industrial networking, and operational technology (OT) environments. The transaction brings RUCKUS’ portfolio of Wi-Fi access points, campus Ethernet switching, and AI-driven network management software into Belden’s existing portfolio of industrial networking, connectivity, and automation products, broadening the company’s addressable market across enterprise and industrial customers.

For Belden, the acquisition marks a strategic expansion beyond its traditional strengths in industrial Ethernet, connectivity, and critical infrastructure. RUCKUS adds enterprise-class wireless LAN, campus switching, and cloud-managed networking capabilities, enabling Belden to offer end-to-end IT/OT networking solutions that span office campuses, factories, warehouses, transportation systems, utilities, and other mission-critical environments. Belden said the acquisition strengthens its financial profile while positioning the company to capitalize on growing demand for converged enterprise and industrial networking.

The transaction also completes the previously announced divestiture by Vistance Networks, which expects to receive approximately $1.75 billion in net proceeds after taxes, fees, and expenses. Vistance plans to distribute a significant portion of those proceeds to shareholders within 60 days while focusing future investment on its Aurora Networks business. The company said its cash position and debt-free balance sheet provide flexibility for both organic growth initiatives and future acquisitions, with additional details expected during its next quarterly earnings call.

• Belden has completed its acquisition of RUCKUS Networks from Vistance Networks.
• RUCKUS adds enterprise Wi-Fi, campus Ethernet switching, and AI-driven network management software.
• Belden now combines enterprise networking with its industrial networking and automation portfolio.
• The acquisition expands Belden’s presence across both IT and operational technology (OT) environments.
• Vistance expects approximately $1.75 billion in net proceeds from the transaction.
• Vistance plans to return a significant portion of the proceeds to shareholders and focus on Aurora Networks.

“We are pleased to officially welcome RUCKUS into the Belden family. This addition to our portfolio accelerates our transformation into a full-stack networking solutions provider that delivers broader, higher-value solutions for customers across enterprise and industrial environments,” said Ashish Chand, President and CEO of Belden.

🌐 Analysis: This acquisition represents one of the more significant consolidation moves in enterprise networking during 2026. Rather than simply adding another Wi-Fi portfolio, Belden is combining enterprise campus networking with industrial Ethernet, secure connectivity, automation infrastructure, and operational technology. As manufacturing, logistics, utilities, transportation, healthcare, and smart buildings increasingly converge IT and OT networks, vendors with comprehensive wired, wireless, and industrial networking portfolios stand to benefit from larger infrastructure projects that span both enterprise campuses and industrial operations.

The transaction also concludes the transformation of the former CommScope enterprise networking assets. After CommScope rebranded as Vistance Networks and separated its businesses, RUCKUS now becomes part of Belden while Vistance emerges as a more focused broadband infrastructure company centered on Aurora Networks. The result leaves two companies pursuing distinct strategies: Belden expands into enterprise networking with a broader IT/OT platform, while Vistance concentrates its capital on broadband access technologies and future investment opportunities.
