Cirion Technologies has selected Windstream Wholesale to provide core backbone connectivity from the Myrtle Beach, S.C., Cable Landing Station (CLS) to Cirion’s U.S. network nodes, enhancing its international network reach. As part of Windstream Wholesale’s Beach Route initiative, this partnership will strengthen Cirion’s North American footprint and support the increasing demand for high-capacity wavelength services linking terrestrial and subsea networks.

Cirion, a provider of network services to more than 5,500 customers across Latin America and globally, will leverage Windstream’s Intelligent Converged Optical Network (ICON) to expand its connectivity options between Myrtle Beach and its key landing station in Hollywood, Florida. The partnership supports subsea connectivity to major international cables landing in Myrtle Beach, including Anjana (linking to Spain), Firmina (linking to South America), and Nuvem (connecting to Bermuda and Portugal), offering Cirion the ability to deliver diverse and scalable solutions to its multinational customer base.

As an anchor customer, Cirion will receive over six terabits of initial capacity from Windstream, reinforcing its strategy to enhance network capabilities for cloud, co-location, and global transport services. This partnership is a critical part of Windstream’s broader efforts to position its Beach Route as a key subsea gateway along the U.S. East Coast.

• Cirion Technologies partners with Windstream Wholesale for core wavelength services linking Myrtle Beach CLS to U.S. network nodes.

• Cirion will utilize Windstream’s ICON platform to extend its network from Myrtle Beach to Hollywood, Fla.

• Partnership supports connectivity to key subsea cables, including Anjana, Firmina, and Nuvem.

• Cirion secures over 6 Tbps of initial capacity from Windstream.

• Collaboration is part of Windstream’s Beach Route initiative, offering lit and dark fiber solutions to international customers.

“This strategic partnership with Cirion Technologies illustrates our commitment to providing cutting-edge connectivity solutions that empower our customers with unparalleled options,” said Joe Scattareggia, president of Windstream Wholesale.
