euNetworks Opens Direct 1,057 km Fibre Route Between Paris and Milan

euNetworks launched a new 1,057 km (657-mile) long-haul fibre route connecting Paris and Milan through the Alps, creating a shorter and geographically diverse alternative to routes that commonly run south through Lyon and Marseille. The new corridor links two major European data center markets as demand for AI infrastructure, cloud services, and high-capacity interconnection drives additional investment in continental fibre networks.

The route connects directly with euNetworks’ owned and operated metropolitan networks in Paris and Milan. The Paris network reaches 38 on-net data centers, while the Milan network reaches 18 on-net facilities. Customers can also access euNetworks’ broader European footprint of more than 600 connected data centers across 18 metropolitan networks and an intercity backbone spanning 53 cities in 17 countries.

The Paris-Milan deployment follows the completion of euNetworks’ Frankfurt-Milan route via Zurich in October 2025. Together, the projects expand the company’s direct north-south connectivity infrastructure across key European data center markets and provide additional routing options between Frankfurt, Zurich, Milan, and Paris.
