Hewlett Packard Enterprise unveiled the Aruba Networking CX 10040 switch, a next-gen “smart switch” that doubles the performance and scale of its widely adopted CX 10000 line. Unveiled at HPE’s Houston headquarters, the CX 10040 integrates AMD’s programmable Pensando DPUs to offload security and network services, freeing up CPU resources for compute-intensive AI workloads. This enhancement targets data center and colocation environments facing growing demands from AI and high-performance computing applications.

In addition to the CX 10040, HPE Aruba introduced four new CX 6300M campus switches and a refreshed portfolio of Wi-Fi 7 access points. The CX 6300M switches deliver high-speed, compact networking with enhanced security features such as encryption protocols, ARC (Application Recognition and Control), and precision timing. On the wireless side, new 720, 740, and 760 Series APs offer dynamic application prioritization and are tailored for AI-driven real-time data transport across indoor, outdoor, and industrial environments.

HPE also expanded its application-aware networking across existing CX 5420 and 6200 switches and rolled out updates to Aruba Central for unified network management. Additionally, tighter integration with HPE Morpheus simplifies orchestration across virtualized and bare metal environments, further supporting hybrid data center evolution.

  • HPE Aruba CX 10040 switch doubles performance of the CX 10000 series
  • AMD Pensando DPUs offload security tasks for AI workload optimization
  • New CX 6300M switches support high-performance campus deployments
  • Wi-Fi 7 APs with dynamic application prioritization launched (720, 740, 760 Series)
  • Aruba Central gains enhanced AI-powered analytics and control
  • HPE Morpheus VM Essentials integration unifies virtual and physical network services

“We’re delivering cutting-edge solutions that combine AMD’s advanced, programmable DPU and software technology with HPE’s data center networking—enabling secure, scalable services for datacenter and colocation deployments that support the world’s largest enterprises at a fraction of the cost of legacy solutions,” said Soni Jiandani, SVP and GM, Networking Technology and Solutions Group, AMD.
