MaxLinear unveiled two new RS-485 transceiver families, MxL8312x and MxL8321x, designed to meet the demands of robust, high-performance communication in industrial environments. These new transceiver families, comprising nine different product SKUs, offer enhanced capabilities in speed, package options, and system-level protection, including variations of 250kbps, 500kbps, and 50Mbps data rates. In addition to traditional packaging, the MxL8312x and MxL8321x families come in a compact 3mm x 3mm body option, allowing for versatile design integration across industrial applications.
Engineered for reliability, the MxL8312x and MxL8321x transceivers add valuable mid- and high-tier products to MaxLinear’s existing RS-485 portfolio. With an extended range of electrostatic discharge (ESD) and electrical fast transients (EFT) protections, the new offerings aim to deliver consistent performance across critical industrial applications, including factory automation, HVAC systems, and robotics. MaxLinear’s ongoing innovation supports the demands of modern industrial communications, which are increasingly central to automation and connectivity trends in industries worldwide.
