Mplify Adds MCP Integration to LSO APIs

Mplify announced the Kylie SDK release, adding Model Context Protocol (MCP) support across its Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO) APIs to enable AI-native automation of digital services. The update targets service providers operating across multi-domain, multi-provider environments, where orchestration complexity and interoperability remain key barriers to scaling AI-driven services. By aligning standardized LSO interfaces with MCP, Mplify aims to make network and service infrastructure directly accessible to AI agents and large language models.

The Kylie release extends Mplify’s LSO framework with updated business and operational APIs, including Sonata and Cantata for inter-provider transactions, and Allegro, Interlude, and Legato for provisioning, assurance, and fault management. The release also introduces standardized schemas for IP and Carrier Ethernet services, including Subscriber Ethernet and Access E-Line, enabling consistent product, service, and operations payloads. These updates position LSO APIs as machine-readable interfaces that can integrate directly with AI-driven orchestration, diagnostics, and service lifecycle management platforms.

A central feature of the release is the LSO API Blending Tool, which enables operators to combine LSO APIs with service-specific payloads such as wavelengths, SD-WAN, and data center AI exchange cross-connects. The tool can automatically generate MCP-compatible servers, allowing AI agents to translate high-level commands into executable network operations. Mplify said the Kylie SDK is accessible through its LSO Marketplace, which provides developer tools, API access, and MCP-to-LSO conversion resources. The company also outlined its roadmap toward autonomous networking, with the next “Lana” release expected in late 2026.

  • Introduces MCP support across LSO APIs to enable AI-driven orchestration and automation
  • Updates Sonata and Cantata APIs for ordering, quoting, and billing workflows
  • Enhances Allegro, Interlude, and Legato APIs for provisioning, monitoring, and fault management
  • Adds standardized schemas for IP and Carrier Ethernet services, including Subscriber Ethernet and Access E-Line
  • Launches LSO API Blending Tool to combine APIs with service payloads and generate MCP servers
  • Supports integration of AI agents and LLMs with network infrastructure for automated service execution
  • Available via LSO Marketplace with developer tools, payloads, and API documentation

“This release marks an important milestone in Mplify’s mission to simplify collaboration across network, cloud, and cybersecurity ecosystems,” said Pascal Menezes, CTO, Mplify. “By combining standardized LSO APIs with MCP support, Mplify enables AI agents and large language models to interact more directly with networking infrastructure, helping providers reduce service complexity, accelerate decision-making, and move closer to autonomous operations.”

🌐 Analysis: Mplify’s integration of MCP into LSO APIs reflects a broader industry push to make network infrastructure programmable by AI agents, aligning with trends in intent-based networking and agentic AI operations. Similar efforts are emerging across standards bodies and vendors, including CAMARA APIs and operator-led automation frameworks, as the industry works to expose network capabilities as consumable services for AI-driven applications.
