A A

1Finity, a Fujitsu company, outlined its latest ultra optical system portfolio at OFC 2026, targeting the growing demands of AI-driven traffic across data center interconnect (DCI), metro, and long-haul networks. In a presentation from the show floor, Joe Mocerino, Principal Solutions Architect at 1Finity, detailed how the company is addressing scaling challenges in bandwidth, cost efficiency, and sustainability for next-generation optical infrastructure.

The portfolio centers on the L2000 ultra optical line system, designed for high-capacity deployments across core and regional networks, alongside the compact L1000 platform optimized for in-line amplification (ILA) and edge access use cases. The systems emphasize modularity, scalability, and operational efficiency as operators transition to higher-capacity architectures driven by AI workloads.

Additional components include the T700 platform, which supports 800G transport capabilities for optimized service delivery, and the P300 coherent pluggable, designed for multi-vendor interoperability. The Virtura Network Controller provides end-to-end telemetry and management, enabling visibility from topology through pluggable optics.

• AI-driven workloads are increasing demand for higher-capacity optical transport and improved cost per bit per kilometer

• L2000 ultra optical system targets DCI, metro, and long-haul network deployments

• L1000 provides compact modular design for in-line amplification and edge access

• T700 platform supports 800G transport and service optimization

• Virtura Network Controller enables telemetry from network topology to pluggables

• P300 coherent pluggable supports multi-vendor interoperability

• Platforms are designed for both cloud infrastructure providers (CIPs) and communications service providers (CSPs)
