NTT DATA Acquires Zero&One to Accelerate Across the Middle East

NTT DATA has acquired Zero&One, a Dubai-based cloud consultancy and the first homegrown Amazon Web Services Premier Tier Services Partner in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The deal expands NTT DATA’s regional cloud delivery capabilities and positions the company to capture rising enterprise demand across the Middle East.

Founded in 2017, Zero&One holds nine AWS competencies and became the first partner in MENA to achieve AWS Generative AI Competency. The firm received multiple AWS partner awards in 2025, including MENA Consulting Partner of the Year, and EMEA-level recognition as Rising Star Partner of the Year and Design Partner of the Year.

The acquisition aligns with accelerating cloud investment across the region, including growth in Saudi Arabia’s cloud services market, which reached $4.77 billion last year and is projected to more than double by the early 2030s. AWS plans to open its first data center in Saudi Arabia in 2026, underscoring hyperscaler momentum and regional infrastructure build-out.

  • Expands NTT DATA’s cloud, data analytics, and AI services footprint across the Middle East and Africa
  • Adds deep AWS specialization in cloud migration, application modernization, and cloud-native development
  • Strengthens regional delivery capacity amid accelerating hyperscaler investments
  • Builds on Zero&One’s established enterprise and public-sector customer base

“Joining NTT DATA is the natural next step in our growth journey,” said Ali El Kontar, CEO of Zero&One. “As part of NTT DATA, we can combine our regional knowledge and AWS specialization with global resources and expanded service offerings to support clients at a larger scale.”

🌐  Analysis

The acquisition extends NTT DATA’s pattern of using targeted regional buys to deepen hyperscaler-aligned delivery capabilities, particularly around AWS-centric cloud and AI services. As AWS and other hyperscalers expand regional infrastructure in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, global integrators are moving quickly to secure local expertise and delivery scale ahead of the next wave of enterprise migrations.
