VIAVI Solutions introduced its ONE-1600 testing solution designed for the emerging 1.6Tbps Ethernet ecosystem, powered by 224G SERDES technology. The ONE-1600 module is part of VIAVI’s ONE LabPro platform and is tailored for testing high-performance networking hardware such as optical transceivers in AI, machine learning (ML), high-performance computing (HPC), and quantum computing environments. With early customers like InnoLight and Lumentum, VIAVI aims to address the increasing demand for bandwidth in these cutting-edge fields.

The ONE-1600 module supports OSFP1600 and QSFP-DD1600 form factors and provides a two-port configuration for testing. Its integration with the ONE LabPro platform allows for up to 64 x 1.6Tbps test ports or 128 x 800Gbps ports, providing high port density and scalability. The platform offers sophisticated Ethernet Layer 2/3 testing capabilities, making it an essential tool for developers and manufacturers aiming to validate high-speed transceivers and network devices under real-world conditions.

Customers such as InnoLight and Lumentum are leveraging VIAVI’s solution to accelerate their 1.6T product development, ensuring quality and performance as they work to meet the growing demands of cloud operators and AI infrastructure providers. The ONE-1600 testing module is expected to play a critical role in enabling the next wave of high-speed Ethernet adoption across various industries.
